November 2018 Senior Accountant Assurance Partners, Senior Manager & Manager

Position Summary

Candidate must have a basic understanding of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE), Canadian Audit Standards and Canadian income taxation. Candidate will be responsible for various duties which may include the completion of audit, review or compilation files and related tax preparation. In addition, candidate may be given in-house assignments such as accounting research projects or office related administration.

Knowledge of Caseware/Caseview is an asset as well as knowledge of CCH-Tax Prep programs.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements and working papers for review engagements and lead smaller, audit engagements for non-profit organizations;
  • Prepare financial statements and working papers for compilation engagements
  • Prepare corporate, trust and personal tax returns
  • Complete various tax slips and filings including T4’s and T5’s
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required by the Firm commensurate to the candidate’s abilities
